At age three , my father had me running obstacle courses in the backyard and learning to ski on the icy ski slopes of Vermont. I suppose that is where my love of sports and fitness began. By age twelve, I was running 3 miles a day and religiously doing the workouts in my sister’s YM magazines. High school was packed with different sports: field hockey in the fall, down hill ski racing in the winter, running track in the spring, and summers full of tennis, hiking, and trips out west to train for ski racing. I guess you can say I was addicted to athletics!
The constant presence of sports throughout my life contributed to a deep love for fitness and an innate understanding of body mechanics. Once I graduated college, I knew I wanted to share my passion for health and fitness and deepen my knowledge in the field of personal training.
I became certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and spent a few years working as a personal trainer at Crunch Gym and as a bootcamp instructor at SF Bootcamp and VyAyr , learning a ton along the way!
In 2009 I was ready to set out on my own and bring my skills, knowledge, passion and experience to individuals and groups outside of the gym! I began working one-on-one with clients of all different backgrounds, pulling upon my diverse experience in sports, pilates, strength training, marathon running, kickboxing, and more to create the right workout for each person! I train people at my home studio, in their homes, or out in the beautiful San Francisco outdoors where I love to use the props of the environment to create fun and adventurous routines!
I am constantly striving to keep my workouts new, engaging, and effective. I find it incredibly fulfilling to work with people as they take steps to be more healthy, active, and in touch with their bodies and I look forward to doing so with you!
